Cauldron Lin

So, one Saturday, when it was just Dad and I at home, we decided to go for a drive after we got our "bountiful basket" so it was 8 am and we were both still in our pajamas. Ok, well I was.. Dad had heard of a place called Cauldron Lin. So we set out to find it. After a good hour of driving to Murtaugh We found it. It's where this calm little river turns into turmoil and creates an epic waterfall! Check it out!

GRILLED CHICKEN!

Well this summer, I discovered how much I love to grill! It was epic. I decided one day, when it was just Skyler and my Dad and I at home one day, that I wanted some grilled chicken. Oh baby! Did  make some tasty grilled chicken! It was picture worthy! By dang it was the best chicken I'd ever tasted! Now I grill lots of things. Chicken, hamburger, fruits and veggies. You name it! :P It's epic.
YOU KNOW YOUR MOUTH IS WATERING!

WINDMILLS

So back in Mae, the girls in my extended family went and saw Wicked. Me, Daliss came, Savannah, Mom, Hollie, Taylor, Grandma and Katy. Awesome Aunt Suzie got us those tickets! We love her so much and wish her the best of luck in Indianna!
Well the guys, Jacob (my dad) and Jason, Hollie's husband, were in charge of all the kids. So, one of the things they did was take the kids to the windmills! Here in the Burley area we've got some awesome windmills. Here are their pictures!

END OF THE YELLOWSTONE TRIP SAGA OF POSTS!

Alright, that's all the pictures from our Yellowstone Trip! I hope you enjoyed them! Our family sure enjoyed going to Yellowstone. What a great land God has created for us. It was nice to just get out of dodge and just go relax. As my 18th birthday had been approaching, I told my mum and dad that all i wanted was to go to Yellowstone. Well, we did it. They pulled it off and we were in Yellowstone on my 18th birthday. The trip really allowed my family to bond and just relax. As we were in Yellowstone, we realized that this was the very first time that just our family of 8 went. Just us, the Larsens. It was really nice to just relax and not have to worry about such a huge group.
It'd like to just say THANKS to Mum and Dad for taking us on that great trip! We had such a fun time and created some great memories that we'll look back on for  years to come! You guys rock! :)

YELLOWSTONE WILDLIFE

In case it's been a while since you've seen some wildlife. Here are some pictures. While at Yellowstone we saw a TON of animals. Here are some of our epic pictures.  Enjoy!
We saw a lot of buffalo. Especially in Hayden Valley, i believe it was. There was one part of the trip where traffic was backed up 2-3 miles because of all the buffalo crossing the road one at a time.
Skyler gave us a good Buffalo Joke that we had a good chuckle at. "What did the daddy buffalo say to his son when he left for school? Give up? "Bison!" hahahaha (kinda depends on how you say bison lol)

Mamma Elk were EVERYWHERE! We were seeing em left and right! They were especially prevalent around Grant's Village, where we stayed. The only think we didn't see was a male Elk with the beautiful racks.! They are my favorite!

This little guy rocks. We were leaving Old Faithful and on our way out to the car, there are all these people around taking pictures, we look and see this little guy. The shadow he is standing in is from a giant charter bus. He's just standing there, completely frozen for a long time. He was like that when we came, and by the time we left.

Remember the great encounter with the elk at West Thumb, in the park less than 2 hours and we saw a herd of Elk. That's Mom's karma right there. :)

A West Thumb elk, right off the board walk.

And this little guy made his appearance after we finished taking pictures at my favorite spot!

LEGENDARY MOMENT- ROARING MOUNTAIN

We had a very epic moment on the way back from Mammoth Hot Springs while on the Yellowstone trip (2011) We had drove past Roaring Mountain on the way up, we paused to look at it from inside the car. And didn't think much of it until we were on our way back to the campground and passed it again.

Well, we had the music pumped and we were all being dorks, with our hats cocked to the side, as we sang and seat danced. So we come up to Roaring Mountain, and there was a little family out in front of the mountain calmly reading the plaque, who's attention we soon grab. We come down the road in our monster truck, GRAVEDIGGER, with the music pumped. Dad stops GRAVEDIGGER in the middle of the road. He shuts the music off and shouts "ALRIGHT KIDS, ROAR AT THE MOUNTAIN!"  All of us kids, 6 of us to be exact, yell at the top of our lungs "ROAR!!!!!!!!!" Then Dad steps on the gas and we continue driving down the road, laughing hysterically.

Needless to say, it was a very Legendary moment for the Larsen family. One of our favorite memories of the trip! If only every one could be as epic as us, the world would be more colorful. :P

For your convenience, I've posted a picture of Roaring Mountain. Unfortunately, we did not capture a picture ourselves. Roaring Mountain is a mountain with a lot of thermal activity, with steam vents and such that cover the mountain.
